A Texas man is facing murder charges after allegedly beating his father to death on Monday.
Todd Jackson Jr., 24, allegedly killed his father, Todd Jackson Sr., 46, with a glass beer mug in their Houston apartment. KTRK reported that responding officers found Jackson Sr. with blunt-force trauma before he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Houston police said Jackson Sr. and Jr. had gotten into an argument at their apartment when the deadly altercation occurred. KPRC reported that four family members, including the father and son, lived in the apartment and were home at the time. The nature of the argument was not disclosed.
Houston police said they never responded to the residence prior to Monday’s incident.
Jackson Jr. is charged with murder. His bond was set at $250,000.
