The body of a 31-year-old man was found wrapped in a tarp in the back of his Jeep Grand Cherokee Sunday afternoon.
Police have not released the man’s identity but said they were investigating the discovery as a homicide, WPVI reported.
The discovery was made in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood, a residential area with an active nightlife scene, KYW said. The body was found about a block away from the Franklin Music Hall, formerly known as the Electric Company,
“It’s definitely surprising,” Dan Brown, who lives nearby, told WPVI. “In the City of Philadelphia, we are used to hearing about stuff like this, unfortunately. But in Northern Liberties, usually not too much stuff like this going on.”
Police are looking at surveillance video for clues.
