A California sheriff’s deputy was found dead in her home Thursday morning, and police arrested her boyfriend for her murder Friday night in Oregon.
Deanna Esmaeel was the mother of Marty York, the actor who played Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan in the iconic 1993 film “The Sandlot,” ET reported.
York shared a photo of himself with his mother on Instagram on Friday, saying it was “the hardest past I’ll ever have to write.”
“The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengeance, crying,” he wrote, later replying to a comment “I just want my mom back ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.”
The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office named Daniel James Walter, aka Edward Patrick Davies, the suspect in Esmaeel’s death and put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) for him and his vehicle. The vehicle was found Friday afternoon, and Walter was taken into custody by the Brookings Police Department Friday night in Curry County, Oregon.
“We are all deeply heartbroken with the loss of Deputy Esmaeel,” Del Norte County Sheriff’ Garrett Scott said in a statement. “Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and co-workers.”
Investigators have not released any further information.
