San Antonio police made a grisly discovery Friday night after responding to a call about a suspicious person looking into a parked vehicles.
Officers dispatched to the call encountered Bradley Adam Dimmick, 35, who reportedly told them, “I just killed somebody,” according to an arrest warrant quoted by KENS.
Dimmick gave the officers an address a few blocks away, the documents say, and they arrived to find blood and a dead dog inside the front door. Also in the living room: a decapitated human body with “a large stomach wound.”
The dog also had a large stomach wound, the documents say, and “both of these wounds had intestines extruding from their bodies.” Further investigation located the deceased victim’s head in the home’s bathtub.
Crime scene investigators found dried blood on Dimmick’s clothing and a trail of blood throughout the house to the victim’s head in the bathtub.
Investigators identified the victim as 65-year-old Keith Dimmick but did not say if he and Bradley Dimmick were related. Bradley Dimmick’s home address was listed as the home where Keith Dimmick’s body was found. Posts from family members on Facebook indicated that Keith Dimmick was Bradley Dimmick’s father.
A time of death has not been established, but investigators found “missed call notifications were present on the home screen going back to 9:19 a.m.” Friday on a cell phone believed to belong to Keith Dimmick.
Bradley Dimmick was charged with murder and animal cruelty and was booked in to the Bexar County jail on a $1.5 million bond, KSAT reported.
