A 7-year-old boy was one of the victims in a double murder suicide in suburban Atlanta on Monday.
DeKalb County Police said they found the boy, a 49-year-old woman, and a 51-year-old man dead just after 3 p.m., WANF said.
Police have not released the names of the victims and suspect, who investigators believe was the man, WAGA reported.
Neighbors were shocked.
“The guy drove a cab every day. The woman seemed like she was a nurse. They always spoke. The kid always playing around. Look like it was a dad kid,” Lionel Hamilton told WANF.
Hamilton said he saw the family every day and “they seemed like normal people.”
Principal Karen Williams of Sagamore Hills Elementary School, where the 7-year-old attended, sent a letter home to parents saying that counselors would be available.
“I ask that you keep the family, students and staff in your thoughts,” Williams wrote.
Police have not released a cause of death or described the relationship between the three people.
