North Carolina police have charged the husband of ‘Teen Mom’ star Jenelle Evans with abusing her 14-year-old son — who reportedly ran away from home three times in a month.
TMZ reported that David Eason was charged with misdemeanor child abuse after authorities obtained a video showing an assault involving Evans’ teen son, Jace. Law enforcement sources told the tabloid that Evans, 31, has not been criminally charged but it is a possibility.
This summer, reports surfaced that Jace ran home twice in a two-week span. In September, he reportedly snuck out of a window and fled into the woods. Police started investigating the family for neglect after that incident, according to TMZ.
Eason is Jace’s stepfather. Evans regained full custody of Jace in March. Evans’ mother reportedly had custody of her grandson due to financial, personal, and legal issues Evans had when she was younger.
