An Ohio man tragically lost his life last month during what loved ones are calling a freak waterskiing accident in the Caribbean.
According to News Channel 8, newlywed couple Nate and Mariana Kuhlman took a trip to St. Lucia on October 28 and within three days, Nate died while waterskiing. Details on how the incident transpired have not been revealed.
“Nate was a wonderful husband, friend, son, and brother in Christ. He was able to thoughtfully encounter every person he met and those who had the blessing of a relationship with him would be able to tell a list of stories detailing what a fun, kind, and adventurous soul he was,” a GoFundMe page set up for the couple read.
“Nate tragically lost his life three days after his wedding. Words cannot describe the heart break there is for his story and for his family. We kindly ask for help to assist for funeral cost and travel of the family.”
Two fundraisers are currently ongoing for the couple. One fundraiser has reached more than $30,000 and the other has reached more than $50,000.
Donations will be used for “transportation, accommodations, meals, funeral arrangements,” and other financial needs for the family.
