More newly uncovered surveillance video shows the son of a prominent Hollywood exectuive dumping a heavy bag into a dumpster — believed to be the same garbage bin where a homeless person found a dismembered human torso and other body parts earlier this week.
Samuel Haskell IV, 35, has been charged with murder after linking him to the body parts found on Wednesday and believed to belong to his missing wife, Mei Haskell, 37, as CrimeOnline reported.
Video released by TMZ earlier shows a man believed to be Haskell flagging down a truck just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Several men are then seen in the video carrying large bags down the driveway and loading them into the truck. The men left, but stopped not far away, where one of the workers opened at least one of the bags and found human body parts.
The men are seen returning to Haskell’s house 15 minutes later, where they left the bags in the driveway. The laborers said they gave Haskell his money back and went to police. At 4:22 p.m., the surveillance video shows Haskell leaving the property in a white Tesla.
By the time police arrived, the bags were gone.
The new footage, also released by TMZ, shows Haskell pull up into a parking lot in Encino in the white Tesla at about 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. He parks by a dumpster about six miles from his home, opens the back and hoists a heavy bag onto his shoulder. He tosses the bag into the bin, closes the back of his car, and leaves.
A homeless person opened the bag early Wednesday and found the body parts. Authorities said the torso belongs to a woman.
The whereabouts of the other bags are not known.
Mei and her parents — 64-year-old Yanxiang Wang and 71-year-old Gaoshen Li – are still missing. The parents lived in the Tarzana home with their couple’s three children. The children were found safe at school and have been handed over to the Department of Children and Family Services.
Two vehicles are also missing: a white Volkswagen Tiguan, license plate 9ANC890, and a white 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, license plate 7FRM190.
Investigators found blood and other evidence in the home that are consistent with murder. Haskell is in custody and being held in the Van Nuys Jail without bond, according to jail records.
Haskell is the son of Samuel Haskell III, a former powerful Hollywood agent who has represented major celebrities including Dolly Parton, George Clooney and Ray Romano.
