Police in Michigan have arrested a man who was found passed out in a disabled vehicle with a woman’s body in the vehicle with him.
Roseville police said the 45-year-old woman’s body “sustained significant trauma to her head and face,” according to WDIV.
Investigators believe the woman was attacked elsewhere then put in the vehicle and driven to the spot “where it was located by officers,” near Interstate 94. The vehicle was still in drive when officers arrived at about 11:15 p.m. on Monday.
Police said they found evidence in the vehicle that indicated the man was responsible for the woman’s death, but they did not say what that evidence was nor identify the charges he faced. On Tuesday morning, they were still working to find the location where the assault took place.
Investigators have not released the identities of either the suspect, identified as a 42-year-old Highland park resident, or the victim.
