Police in north Texas as searching for a 10-year-old boy whose mother was found dead at the family’s home in Wilmer on Tuesday.

Wilmer Police say Ian Aguilar’s father, 38-year-old Juan Aguilar-Cano, is suspected of both the abduction and the murder.

The Texas Department of Public Safety isued an Amber Alert for the boy, saying he was believed to be in immediate danger, WFAA said.

Sources told KTVT that the woman was found dead by her daughter. The boy was missing from the same location.

Investigators found Cano’s car, a tan Chevy Tahoe, in Houston on Wednesday, but neither he nor the boy were located.

Wilmer is about 16 miles southeast of Dallas and about 220 miles north of Houston.
