Hulk Hogan’s Son Arrested for Driving Drunk in Florida

The son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was arrested in Florida for driving drunk early Saturday morning.

Clearwater police were already conducting a traffic stop at about 1:15 a.m. when they spotted a Dodge Ram approaching, WFLA reported. An officer tried to signal the driver to slow down and move over away from the traffic stop, but he did neither.

Another officer clocked the Ram at 51 mph in what was a 40 mph zone.

Police stopped the vehicle after a short chase, and officers said the driver — identified as Nick Hogan, whose real name is Nicholas Bollea — was swaying and unsteady with bloodshot, glassy eyes and a “strong odor of alcoholic beverage.”

Bollea, 33, refused to take a breathalyzer test and failed field sobriety tests.

WFLA noted that Bollea was previously involved in a serious crash in the late 2000s that left a friend paralyzed an in need of nursing care for the rest of his life. Bollea, then 17, pleaded no contest to reckless driving and was sentenced to eight months in jail and five years probation. That crash also took place in Clearwater.

The family of his friend, John Graziano, sued Bollea and his father and settled for $1.5 million.
