BOLO: Missing Dad of Twin Boys Mysteriously Vanishes, Truck Found in Middle of Road

Iowa police are searching for a father of twin boys who inexplicably disappeared while driving his work truck in the Sac County area.

According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old David Schultz, of Wall Lake, was last heard from on November 21. His wife, Sarah Schultz, told The Sioux City Journal that his red truck was found parked in the northbound lane of Highway 71 on November 21, around five miles north of the old Highway 20 intersection.

Sarah added that the truck was still loaded with young pigs and found in the middle of the road, unlocked. Police discovered his coat in a nearby ditch. His wallet, cash and his cell phone were located inside the truck.

“He gave me a kiss. He gave Nico a kiss. Joseph said what about me. He said, ‘No time, buddy,’ and he ran out. That was the last I seen of him,” Sarah told CBS 8.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is now aiding the Sac County Sheriff’s Office and Lake View Police in the investigation. The nonprofit search group, United Cajun Navy, is also assisting with searches.

Schultz is described as a white male who stands 5 feet 11 and weighs around 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was “last known to be wearing wrangler blue jeans, cowboy boots, and a Peterbilt hat,” according to a GoFundMe page set up to help in the search.

Meanwhile, police are asking Northeast Sac County property owners to check around their property and their outbuildings for “anything out of the ordinary.”

The Lake View Police Department has asked anyone who has seen or heard from Schultz to contact the Lake View Police Department at 712-657-2513 or the Sac County Communications Center at 712-662-7127.
