Idaho Man Slaughters Entire Family After Accusing Teen of Being a ‘Pedophile’

An Idaho man confessed to breaking into his neighbor’s residence and brutally killing all four family members, including two teenagers, on Father’s Day, to “execute vengeance.”

Last Monday, 32-year-old Majorjon Kaylor, who previously took a plea deal in the case, pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Kenneth Guardipee, 65; Kenna Guardipee, 41; and her two children, Devin Smith, 18, and Aiken Smith, 16.

The victims lived below Kaylor in a Boise duplex, where the defendant said Devin Smith exposed himself in front of his bedroom window within sight of the Kaylors’ young daughters.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, the Kaylors reported the incident to police. Kellogg Police Chief Paul Twidt told The Associated Press the police report was forwarded to the county prosecutor the same day.

“We responded to the call, investigated the call, and the report was done that day and submitted to the prosecutor’s office for charges,” Twidt said after the murders. “I stand by what my officer did, and he did everything he could at the time. Nobody could have foreseen anything like this.”

According to the affidavit, Kaylie Kaylor told detectives that her husband gave her his wallet, keys, and phone after the murders, telling her to tell the children that “he protected them.”

The Spokesman-Review reports that mediation between the state and defense helped to obtain the plea deal, which reduced the defendant’s charges to second-degree murder instead of first-degree murder. The arrangement granted the dismissal of a felony burglary charge.

In court last Monday, Shoshone County District Judge Barbara Duggan asked Kaylor if he “willfully, deliberately and with malice” murdered the victims. He told her that he did.

Eight members of the Guardipee family signed and approved of the plea deal.

Kaylor’s sentencing is scheduled for March 25. He’s facing 10 years to life behind bars.
