Following a 3-day search, a South Carolina man and his young daughter have been found deceased, according to Richland County deputies.
NBC 4 reports that Jason Murph, 42, and Michelle Murph, 6, were reported missing Saturday after family members were worried about a possible accident. After an extensive search, Richland County deputies located Jason Murph’s vehicle on Lavender Lane, off Interstate 26, near the 136 exit.
At around 1 p.m. Monday, deputies found the bodies of the pair around 100 yards away from the vehicle.
“This is not the outcome we wanted, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers,” Richland County Sheriff’s Department posted on Facebook.
The sheriff’s office is currently leading the investigation to determine what happened. No additional information is immediately available.
