A man was killed and a woman shot in the leg when someone opened fire at a Florida mall Saturday afternoon.
The Ocala Police Department said the shooting took place inside Paddock Mall shortly after 3:30 p.m., the Ocala Star-Banner reported.
The dead man was believed to have been the intended target of the gunman, who fled from the scene and has not yet been located. Police recovered what they believe is the murder weapon, however.
Several other people suffered injuries while attempting to flee the gunfire, police said.
A family told the Star-Banner they were in the food court when they heard two or three gunshots. Food court vendors guiding patrons into their areas to hide.
Police on Sunday released photos of a person of interest in the shooting.

By 4:30, people were seen streaming out of the mall in a calm and orderly fashion.
