CLEAR Alert Issued for Missing Pregnant Teen Who Failed to Show Up at Hospital

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR Alert for an 18-year-old teen who was scheduled to give birth earlier this month but never arrived at the hospital.

According to the Leon Valley Police Department, Savanah Soto was last seen on December 22 at around 2 p.m. in the  6000 block of Grissom Road in Leon Valley. She left in a grey 2013 Kia Optima with temporary tag number, 4289D57.

Family members said Soto was scheduled to go to the hospital that day for an induction but she never showed up.

“I just need to know that she’s OK,” Savanah’s Mother Gloria Cordova said, according to Fox SA. “I just want her home. I’m worried about the baby if she’s even had the baby.”

“There’s no reason why she would just get up and go off and do that.”

Cordova added that she lost her 15-year-old son, Ethan Soto, in 2022, explaining that her daughter would never willingly put her through unnecessary worry.

“She knows what I went through with Ethan and I know she wouldn’t want me to go through this again. Come home I just want her to come home I just want her to call me and told me she’s OK,” Cordova said.

Soto is described as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 115 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

According to TDPS, a CLEAR Alert is issued to help law enforcement find “missing, kidnapped or abducted adults or adults who are in immediate danger of injury or death, as well as aid in locating any potential suspects.”

Anyone with information on Soto’s whereabouts should contact the Leon Valley Police Department at 210-812-3259.
