A supposed ‘family man’ gunned down in front of his family last week in Brazil was in fact a Serbian hitman wanted by Interpol.

Local police said that Darko Geisler, 43, had been wanted for a decade by the international law enforcement agency and that Interpol believes his murder may be related to his past, Fox News reported.

Investigators learned that the passport found on the dead man belonged to a Slovenian man who lost it in 2017. Geisler, they believe, had been living a lie in Brazil for about nine years.

Surveillance video shows a masked gunman shoot Geisler dead as he was stowing his family’s bicycles after a ride with his wife and 3-year-old son. His wife, who met him in 2015 or 2016, said she had no idea her husband was contract killer.

Geisler, who told his Brazilian neighbors he was a carpenter, was wanted in Montenegro for multiple murders and poessession of weapons and explosives.

Geisler’s killer fled in a black car. His identity is unknown.
