Grandad Gunned Down While Breaking Up Subway Fight Over Loud Music

A man was fatally shot Sunday on a New York subway amid an argument between two other passengers about loud music, according to reports.

Jakeba Henderson, 45, was killed on the No. 3 train in Brooklyn as he returned home. The New York Times reported that Henderson — who was shot in his back and shoulder — was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Anthony Williams told the New York Post that he and Henderson were returning from watching football at a friend’s home when the shooter got on the train playing music from speakers. He claimed they had not done anything to the man who ended up opening fire on him and Henderson.

“He tried to shoot me in the head, but I ducked and he went out through the two swinging doors on Rockaway Parkway,” Williams told the news outlet.

Meanwhile, sources told the New York Daily News that it is unclear whether the shooter was aiming for Henderson or the man he was arguing with.

As of Monday, no arrests have been made.
