Police in Maryland say a 42-year-old man may have killed his teen children before turning the gun on himself Sunday.
The Messenger reports that Howard County police were dispatched to a home in the 14000 block of Triadelphia Road in Glenelg shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday to conduct a welfare check.
Upon entering the home, they discovered one adult and two juveniles, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Police described the incident as a “domestic double murder-suicide.”
Based on the initial investigation, it is believed that Christopher Zanski, 42, fatally shot his children, Braden Zanski, 17, and Hailey Zanski, 15, before taking his own life. All three lived at the residence, CBS Baltimore reports.
Police said that there are no indications of anyone else being involved in the incident. As of Monday morning, the motive remains unknown.
