A Florida man has been arrested after he threw a beer can at a vehicle he said was speeding in his neighborhood and then confronted the driver. With his AR-15 rifle.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said that Eric Proctor denied the felony aggravated assault charges although video from his own house showed him rushing in and back out again with the rifle. Then he’s seen walking calmly back into his house with the weapon.
“He went to his house, and he comes out with his rifle, and the dude shoots three times,” Judd said. “Once in the air and twice on the ground.”
The victim called police.
“If you’re that stirred up, just call us,” Judd said. “We’ll deal with it, and you won’t end up in jail charged with a felony.”
The victim was not charged with speeding as the only “evidence” was Proctor’s word.
