‘I will kill you’: 11-year-old Florida Girl Faces Felony Charges After Threatening to Kill Student with Box Cutter: Police

A Florida girl was arrested Thursday for reportedly bringing a box cutter to her elementary school, brandishing it at another student’s neck, and making threats to kill him.

According to NBC 2, a Manatee Elementary School student in Collier County was taken into custody and faces charges of aggravated battery and possession of a weapon on school property, police said.

The incident happened at the school on January 11, after deputies from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call to the school.

The student, identified as an 11-year-old female, approached another student from “behind in the school cafeteria and poked him in the neck with the knife several times while whispering a threat.”

The student is also accused of telling the victim, “I will kill you.”

CCSO said responding officers reviewed security footage, which confirmed the victim’s statements. A Youth Relations deputy also confirmed the victim’s version of events, Law&Crime reports.

The same deputy reportedly searched the victim and found a box cutter “concealed in her waistband.”

The victim attempted to leave the cafeteria after the incident but the 11-year-old allegedly followed him and backed him up against a window while holding the box cutter.
