Derveloping: Family of Four, Including 2 Children, Found Dead in Maryland Home Following Foreclosure Notice

A disturbing scene unfolded in Union, New Jersey, on Wednesday, after officials discovered a man, a woman, and two children deceased inside a residence.

While the official cause of death is pending, investigators told The Messenger that the victims were all family members who lived in the home. Initial reports indicate police believe that the family died of a murder-suicide, investigators said.

According to NBC New York, the family may been plagued with financial difficulties. Court records indicated that the home was being foreclosed and had sold at a sheriff’s sale in November.

The family had been granted 60 days to vacate the residence but were found dead by someone from the sheriff’s office who came to the home to serve an eviction notice.

The children were reportedly school-aged girls.
