A 37-year-old Arizona man has been arrested after a girl reported that that he tried to kidnap her as she was walking to school on Friday in Glendale.
Glendale Police officers responded to the call from the girl and obtained a neighbor’s security footage, which showed the man make a U-turn in the street, jump out of his car, and chase the girl for a short way before heading back to his car, KPHO reported.
A reporter who viewed the raw video said the girl could be heard shouting “No!” as the man chased her.
The girl reported “that an unknown adult male had attempted to grab her as she walked to school,” police said.
Police identified the vehicle and the suspect and arrested Joseph Ruiz on suspicion of attempted kidnapping.
