A Georgia woman was charged with murder for allegedly starving her 1-year-old son to death.
WXIA reported that Alice Davis failed to get medical attention for her son, who had peripheral pulmonic stenosis. The Mayo Clinic describes peripheral pulmonic stenosis as “a narrowing of the valve between the lower right heart chamber and the lung arteries … [which] reduces blood flow through the valve.”
Dekalb County police alleged that Davis hid her son’s death for more than a week before alerting law enforcement.
According to WXIA, Davis is charged with felony murder, concealing death, and cruelty to children. Authorities have not provided more details regarding the toddler, including his name and the circumstances surrounding his death.
