A Tennessee jailer has been arrested after an investigation into allegations that she was having sex with an inmate.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said last month that it had placed Akira Jones on leave after launching an investigation into a complaint it received in December, WHBQ reported.

She was arrested on Tuesday and charged with sexual contact with prisoners.

Jones remains on administrative leave, according to WMC.
