Mom, Infant Found Dead on Arkansas Interstate On-Ramp; Toddler Critically Injured

A woman and her infant son were found dead on the side of an interstate on-ramp in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Tuesday morning, and police say they are investigating the case as a homicide.

Teangela Tate, 27, and her 2-month-old son Noel Mott were found dead beside the Interstate 440 ramp from Highway 165, KARK reported. A toddler, 1 1/2 years old, was hospitalized in critical condition. Tate was also the mother of that child.

Police provided little information about the investigation. They initially called it a death investigation but later said evidence led them to escalate it to homicide.

They said an autopsy for Tate and the infant would provide information about cause of death.
