Leg Found on NY Subway Tracks Belonged to Man Fatally Hit by Train Last Week

Investigators say a leg found on a Bronx subway track over the weekend belonged to a man fatally hit by a train in Manhattan last week.

Sources told WPIX that the man was struck at the Spring Street station in Lower Manhattan just before 11 p.m. on February 12.

The leg, still wearing pants, was found at about 1 p.m. Saturday on the No. 4 line between the 167th Street and 170th Street stations. Transit workers cleaning snow off the tracks found the leg.

Sources said the train likely dragged the leg from Manhattan to the Bronx.

The man has not yet been identified, but sources say the incident doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
