Body Camera Footage Shows Part of ‘Cult Mom’ Lori Vallow Daybell’s Processing into Arizona Jail

Newly released body camera footage shows “cult mom” Lori Vallow Daybell surrendering a laptop and other material related to her case to Maricopa County deputies when she was extradited to Arizona last fall.

Vallow Daybell was convicted and sentenced to life in an Idaho prison in July 2023 for the deaths of two of her children and husband Chad Daybell’s first wife, as CrimeOnline reported.

She was brought to Arizona in November to stand trial on conspiracy charges in the murder of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and the attempted murder of her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux. Both shootings were carried out by Vallow Daybell’s brother, Alex Cox, who later died, reportedly of natural causes.

In the video obtained by KSAZ, a deputy explains that the contents of a black box Vallow Daybell brought with her from Idaho will be put into property “for safekeeping” and that she can release it at a later date. The box contained a laptop, two hard drives, two flash drives, and several notebooks.

The deputy said the material was electronic records of her case. A label on the laptop reads “property of Means Law Office,” referring to her former attorney in Idaho, Mark Means, who was disqualified from the case in December 2021 because he previously represented Charles Vallow.

Vallow Daybell was allowed to keep several folders of printed material before she was taken to her cell. She is currently set to go on trial in Arizona on August 1.
