A Florida woman, her boyfriend, and her son have been charged with sexually abusing children — and livestreaming the abuse to paying customers.
Walquiria Cassini, 38, and Ryan Londono, 42, are each charged with sexual assault of a child, solicitation, and use of a child in a sexual performance, WPTV reported. Cassini’s 20-year-old son, Matthew Cassini, is charged with sexual assault of a child, WPTV reported.
When his attorney pointed out in court that Cassini was not charged with filming the encounter, the prosecutor fired back, “He’s charged with actual intercourse with the child,” according to WPBF.
The arrests came after a four month investigation and FBI raid of the group’s home. Prosecutors said the youngest child was 5 years old when the abuse began.
Palm Beach County Judge Donald Hafele ordered the trio held without bail, saying that he’d “seen just about everything” in 25 years on the bench.
“To shock the court’s conscience is frankly a difficult proposition at this point in the court’s career,” Hafele said, noting that the case had, indeed, shocked him.
An arrest warrant filed in the case says that investigators who conducted the raid on Tuesday found ring cameras, tripods, and other items prosecutors say were used for recording the abuse. They also found Venmo and transacations on other platforms they say were used for the venture.
Cassini’s attorney said in court that no videos were found, but Hafele noted that 33 videos were deleted from just one online platform the day after the investigation began.
