An investigation is underway in Pennsylvania after a young child’s body was reportedly discovered in a duffel bag on Monday.
WCAU reported that Community Life Improvement Program workers in Philadelphia were cleaning along the street when they made the discovery. Officials believe the child — whose remains were decomposed — is between 2 and 4.
The child’s gender was not disclosed. It is unclear whether they suffered any trauma due to the state of the remains.
An official told WCAU that it is believed the child was in the duffel bag for some time.
