An Ohio man has been charged with murdering his 5-month-old son who reportedly died on Wednesday with various head injuries.
Legend Lambert died on March 13, a week after his father, Lawrence Lambert, 24, allegedly kicked him in the head twice because he was frustrated. WTVG reported that the infant was taken off life support after suffering severe cerebral edema, subdural hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Lucas County coroners determined Legend Lambert’s injuries were non-accidental and ruled his death a homicide, according to WTOL.
While Lawrence Lambert was initially charged with child endangerment and assault, the charges against him were upgraded on Thursday to include aggravated murder and murder. Before the upgraded charges, his bond was set at $500,000.
