As the mystery of Sebastian Rogers’ disappearance deepens, his father Seth Rogers, and a panel of experts join Nancy Grace on the latest Crime Stories to investigate the case of the missing 15-year-old Tennessee boy.
Sebastian Rogers’ father, Seth Rogers, told “Crime Stories” that his son did not take his cell phone which he was super attached to when he vanished from his Henderson home on February 16, where he lives with his mother and stepfather. It’s one of several things Seth found alarming about his son’s disappearance.
“Look at his picture, keep your head up,” Seth said on Tuesday’s episode. “I’m missing something. This puzzle doesn’t make sense. I have a missing piece.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, not many details have surfaced since Sebastian’s disappearance. Searchers have found no sign of Rogers and search-and-rescue dogs have not picked up his scent. Searches of the Kentucky landfill where the family’s trash is taken didn’t produce any evidence or leads.
Sebastian also reportedly vanished while barefoot. Seth Rogers said his son’s three pairs of shoes were found at the front door. Sebastian typically only goes outside at night to take out the trash and always has his shoes or slippers on.
Seth Rogers added that his son, who is autistic and lacking in certain social skills, is “very intelligent” and never broke his routine.
“Something doesn’t add up. For him to break routine, it doesn’t make sense,” Seth said.
Forensic psychologist, Dr. Schari Schwartz, added that his shoes being accounted for is an important clue since it deviates from his normal routine of never leaving home without them.
“This is another fact that’s very important that we need to pay attention to because this is not something that Sebastian would normally do…These are really important clues in an investigation.”
Meanwhile, the search for Sebastian continues. Geographic profiler Douglas MacArthur says it should be determined who, if anyone, Seth may have left with, aside from his parents or stepfather.
“Who would he leave house with if it wasn’t one of the three parents? Who would it be? That would be the next point in the investigation.”
He’s described as a white male who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs between 106 to 108 pounds. He has dirty blond hair and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. His flashlight keychain is unaccounted for.
“I want everybody to see my son and know that he’s missing… I need my son back,” Seth said.
Anyone with information regarding Rogers’ whereabouts should call the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office at 615-451-3838 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
