Caleb Harris: $25K Reward Offered for Safe Return of Missing Texas A&M Student

The family of missing Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi student, Caleb Harris, is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to his whereabouts.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, the 21-year-old vanished on March 4 from his residence at The Cottages in Corpus Christi, at a little before 3 a.m. in the 1900 block of Ennis Joslin.

Caleb sent a Snapchat message around 2:45 a.m. to his sister, his family said. Shortly after, he went outside to wait for an Uber food order, according to what his roommates told police.

His father, Randy Harris, told CrimeOnline that at around 3:03 a.m., Caleb sent a Snapchat to his best friend at a bridge next to his apartment complex. His phone either died or was turned off shortly after.

“He had just seen his mom Friday and Saturday they had fun with roommates and friends, went to beach, showed her where he likes to go fishing,” Randy Harris told CrimeOnline.

“He had been out with friend fishing on Sunday, got the new dog Sunday night. Caleb and I are in constant connection with fun facts and text about his life and fishing, cooking– he loved to cook and try new things. He had been texting me fishing lures he was going to use the next day.”

According to Corpus Christi Crime Stoppers, Harris’ roommates said they couldn’t find him after he left the apartment to wait for the food. The Uber order, according to the restaurant, was marked as complete, and Randy Harris said the driver has been questioned several times.

Randy added that the food order arrived at the apartment at 3:20 a.m. but his son was not there and the order was still there the following morning. His two roommates subsequently contacted police.

The cameras at the apartment complex and the security gate were not working when Caleb vanished.

“We know that he had his hat on, he had a white shirt on, some new pants; kind of a dark teal-colored fishing pants, and he was barefoot. Our last snapchat was to my daughter at 2:44 a.m. when he was out walking the dog again,” Randy told KENS 5.

“He was waiting on an Uber driver to drop off his lunch for the next day. He would go to school, come back, grab all his fishing gear, and kayak and would go out fishing. He would always go out with someone [when he is fishing].

“Everything he was doing was preparing for the next day, preparing for the next week. He has a job in Alaska this summer, he already renewed his lease, has good grades, nothing was out of the ordinary,” Randy continued.”

Harris is described as a white male who stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has brown hair, and brown eyes and doesn’t have his wallet or vehicle with him.
