A missing Kansas teen was found this week at the home a newly hired Allen County sheriff’s deputy.
The 15-year-old girl was placed in protective custody, and Michael Tennyson charged with indecent liberties with a child and fired from his job, KWCH reported.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation found the girl after they were notified by the Hays Police Department. She had been missing since March 22, and investigators believed she was with Tennyson in Iola, about 275 miles away.
The KBI said Tennyson was initially booked into the Allen County Jail but would be transferred to the neighboring Bourbon County jail.
