The mother of slain Wisconsin teen Sade Robinson says her daughter’s accused killer is today’s version of notorious serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, as police arrest a man following the discovery of a severed leg.
“This isn’t normal. This is a 2024 Jeffrey Dahmer. I need him held accountable,” Sheena Scarbrough said during Wednesday’s Crime Stories episode.
“I need justice for Shadeh. There has been a lot of..many Black and brown girls that I’ve been called missing in Milwaukee for a moment and all of them are going to be out accountable now because they mess with the wrong family.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, prosecutors allege that 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson and 19-year-old Robinson went on a first date on April 1, at a Milwaukee seafood restaurant he used to work at.
Police found Robinson’s Honda Civic in Milwaukee the following morning, burned out after a witness said she saw a man flicking something into the vehicle. Later, they found her severed leg at Warnimont Park in Cudahy, several miles away.
In addition to homicide, Anderson is now facing charges of mutilating a corpse and arson. With Anderson’s given criminal history, licensed psychologist and mediator, Dr. John Delatorre, said he believes Sade isn’t the first victim Anderson has done this to.
“This isn’t the first person that he’s done this to. Sade is not the first person,” he said. “This is someone who has been long planning and been engaging in problematic behaviors, escalating them each time so that eventually he’s comfortable with actually doing the things that he’s been fantasizing about.”
Anderson’s criminal history includes domestic violence and disorderly contact across at least three different cases.
Professor of Forensics at Jacksonville State University, Joseph Scott Morgan, added that the severity of the murder could indicate that the defendant may have rehearsed beforehand.
“This almost seems practiced on one level. You have to have the tools, you have to have the ability.”
