Georgia state investigators have arrested a 15-year-old for a shooting at an after prom party early Sunday morning that left a 15-year-old girl dead.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that Fitzgerald Police initially responded to the shooting in downtown Fitzgerald shortly after 1 a.m. and found four people had been shot. All four were taken to a hospital, where Chyell Paulk was pronounced dead.
The suspect has been charged with one count of felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to WALB, the other victims were a 19-year-old woman, who has since been released from the hospital, and two boys, ages 14 and 15.
The station reported that a 17-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the shooting, but he does not appear to be the 15-year-old charged with murder.
The GBI said it would hand over its investigation, once it’s complete, to the Crisp Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
