The families of an alleged road rage driver and the woman he killed briefly brawled in a courthouse hallway this week as the driver was arraigned on a murder charge.

Decoff was in a vehicle involved in an altercation Sweatt. She and other people in the car got out of the vehicle, and Sweatt drove toward the group, slamming into Decoff and sending her flying into the air.
Sweatt initially said that Decoff and four men got out of the vehicle and threatened to kill him, but the district attorney’s office said surveillance video didn’t back up his story. Instead, they said, he made a U-turn after an initial instead and drove toward the group at a high rate of speed.
Sweatt’s charges were upgraded this week, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
In the hallway, the two families got into a heated exchange of words that apparently turned into blows, WBTS reported. Court officials separated them, but one person appeared to be bleeding afterward. No charges were filed.
Sweatt is being held without bond.
