Missing 11-Year-Old Girl Likely Abducted by Adult Male She Met at Church: Police

Laurens County police in South Carolina released an image of a man they suspect is with a missing 11-year-old girl who hasn’t been seen since Sunday evening.

On Monday, Laurens County deputies said Ruby Guevara was last seen around 9 p.m. Sunday at her home on Georgia Road in Gray Court. She may have left her residence and is thought to be in the company of 21-year-old Rafael Garcia.

“I’m feeling destroyed,” her mother, Reina Guevara, told WYFF in Spanish.

“She came by Sunday around 5:30, 6, 6:30 in the afternoon from church. And she put – and then… the young men were sitting on the porch when I got here from church.”

Guevara added that Garcia knew her daughter because they used to attend the same church.

“He knows what he’s done and don’t need to see that because he is an adult and he is older than her, and she is a girl. He doesn’t need to see that.”

Ruby is described as a Hispanic female who stands 5 feet tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office or call Crime Stoppers at 864-68-CRIME.
