The primary caregivers of a 3-month-old baby were arrested in Louisiana last week after the infant was hospitalized with multiple broken bones and malnourishment.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said hospital staff contacted them on April 10 and reported their suspicions that the child was abused, KPLC reported.
The subsequent investigation led to the arrests of 19-year-old Haiden K. Wilson and 20-year-old Isabella L. Fox last Friday, police said.
They have been charged with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and were given bonds of $100,000 each.
Wilson bonded out on Wednesday, but Fox remains behind bars.
The infant was placed in the custody of a family member, police said.
