Tampa Amber Alert Cancelled After 9-Year-Old Girl Found, Mom Still Missing

A Florida Amber Alert was activated Sunday and then cancelled early Monday morning for 9-year-old girl, but Tampa police are still looking for the girl’s 34-year- mother, who was also believed abducted.

Tampa Police found the missing girl but said Sylvia Pagan could be in danger, WTVT reported.

She was believed taken by 38-year-old Jovanni Caceres Steffani, who was named the suspect in the Amber Alert.

Pagan was last seen at 10 a.m. Sunday on Altman Street in Tampa and is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Steffani is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 225 pounds, and bald with brown eyes. He has a scar on the left side of his neck.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement cautioned the public not to approach if they’re spotted but to call Tampa Police at 813 231 6130.
