LOCATED: 9-Year-Old Georgia Boy Reportedly Taken by Non-Custodial Mom Found

Update 8:55p.m.: Newton County officials said they had located the missing boy and taken his mother into custody. No further information was available.

Georgia police are looking for a mother they say kidnapped her 9-year-old son from school Tuesday morning.

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office said that 24-year-0od Mya Mechelle Favors lost her parental rights but took Keshawn Royal James out o South Salem Elementary School anyway.

James was last seen wearing a red bow tie, red suspenders, blue jeans, and black glasses. He’s described as 4 feet 9 inches tall and about 90 pounds.

His mother is driving a 2008 GMC Yukon with a Georgia tag RJX1653. The vehicle has been identified as an Uber vehicle.
