Authorities have revealed the cause of death of two men who were found dead in Utah earlier this year.
Charles Youngkuom Yoo, 35, was charged with wo counts of first-degree murder in March for the deaths of William Drew Bull, 29, and Christopher “Topher” Owens, 28, who were first reported missing on February 26, as CrimeOnline reported.
Investigators said Yoo, the two men’s roommate and landlord, provided unclear information about their disappearance. Yoo was arrested and charged with murder and obstruction of justice on March 10.
This week, investigators added two counts of abuse or desecration of a human body and said the two men died from gunshot wounds, the Gephardt Daily said.
Charging documents say that Bull and Owens went from Moab to Blanding and then to the house they shared with Yoo on February 25. Their phones remained at that location for two days, when they were turned off.
A search of the home on March 8 turned up spots “presumed to be blood” on the wall and ceiling of the entryway and on a pair of shoes. Cadaver dogs located burnt remains of possible clothing and carpet buried behind the home.
While investigators have not said exactly where the bodies of Bull and Owens were found, the court documents say Yoo’s cellphone was in that area on March 1.
Additionally, investigators said bullets and fragments taken from their bodies matched a gun belonging to Yoo.
