A domestic violence suspect killed himself after stopping his car in the middle of a busy California freeway, blocking traffic for hours.
Efrain Quezada, 40, was wanted on suspicion of stalking, criminal threats, and violating a domestic violence restraining order, KABC reported.
Quezada, driving a little blue sedan, led police on a chase for about 20 miles from Corona to Anaheim on Friday, ultimately stopping in a westbound lane of the 91 Freeway.
Police shut down the highway in both directions and blocked in Quezada’s car with two military-style armored vehicles. Hours later, police dragged a person out of the car.
Authorities said Quezada died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Corona police said the pursuit began at about 8 a.m. on Friday.
