BOLO: Elderly NC Woman Still Missing Nearly a Week After Disappearance

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an elderly woman who vanished nearly a week ago.

According to CBS 17, 79-year-old Shirley Haith was last seen around midday on May 22, and her family reported her missing on Friday, May 24. She resides in a rural area in northwestern Orange County, near Harmony Church and Lynch Store Roads.

The sheriff’s office noted that Haith rarely travels far from her home, only leaving for regular errands and activities. She drives a light blue 1997 Ford Contour with the license plate XWY-7639, with a pink foam flower attached to the rear antenna, a front license plate with the word ‘Jesus’ on it, and towels (folded) on the floorboard.

Since she has no known cognitive issues, a SILVER Alert has not been issued.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Investigator Nazworth at (919) 245-2960.
