‘General Hospital’ Johnny Wactor’s Co-Worker Describes Actor Dying in Her Arms

Johnny Wactor’s co-worker took to social media on Wednesday and recounted what happened when the “General Hospital” actor was fatally shot on Saturday.

Wactor, 37, was fatally shot in the chest after he appparently caught some men taking the catalytic converter from his car outside of Level 8 Night Club in Los Angeles, California, where he worked. Wactor’s bartending co-worker, Anita Joy, recalled how the actor stood between her and the gunman who eventually opened fire.

According to Joy, Wactor confronted the men in a non-threatening manner, with his hands open, while informing them it was his car.

“As I heard the shot ring into the night, he forcefully tumbled back into my arms and as I grabbed for him, I shouted, ‘Hunny you ok?!’ And he only responded, ‘Nope! Shot!’,” she recalled in an Instagram post published on Thursday.

Joy said she and Wactor “toppled” onto the street while she tried to hold him up as she screamed for help. She and a security guard reportedly tried to tie a denim jacket around Wactor’s wound but the injury was too severe.

“My god, he fought to stay,” Joy also wrote.

Sources told the Los Angeles Times that police are trying to pull prints from Wactor’s car and are searching for video footage from the vicinity. They are also reviewing other catalytic converter thefts in the area for a possible link.

“When Wactor arrived at his vehicle, he was confronted by three individuals who had Wactor’s vehicle raised up with a floor jack and were in the process of stealing the catalytic converter,” Los Angeles police said on Tuesday, as CrimeOnline reported. “Without provocation, the victim was shot by one of the individuals. The three suspects involved were wearing all dark clothing and driving a dark-colored sedan.”

As of Thursday, no arrests have been made.
