A missing Alabama woman was found dead in the woods in Dadeville on Thursday, and her boyfriend has been charged with her murder.
Quanisha Davis, 30, was reported missing on Friday but was last seen on May 17, WRBL reported.
Davis’s white 2006 Ford Explorer was found early Wednesday evening in a wooded area on the north side of town. The body was found just before 8 a.m. the next morning on the south side of the town. Davis’s body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy.
Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett said that Robert Lee Young, 55, has been charged with murder. He is being held pending a bond hearing later this week.
Investigators have not said what led them to Davis’s vehicle and body or to Young.
