Upstate New York police are investigating after a 57-year-old grandmother was found strangled to death in the trunk of a vehicle earlier this week.
Lisa Ann Dashnaw worked as a dietary nutritionist at Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital for 25 years, WPTZ reported.
New York State Police said Dashnaw’s body was found at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday near an Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Plattsburgh. They did not describe the call that brought them to the location.
New York State Police, Plattsburgh City Police, and the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
Investigators have provided no further information.
An obituary said that a celebration of life will be scheduled later on and that Dashnaw’s family would accept donations in her memory to fight Parkinson’s disease in honor of her father.
