Police in West Virginia on Saturday announced the arrests of two people in connection with the death last month of a 3-month-old boy.
Evander Meadows was found unresponsive at a home in Milton on May 23 and was rushed to a hospital, where he died the following day, the Milton Police Department said.
Earlier on Saturday, police said they had secured arrest warrants for Cody Dale Wilson and Tricia L. Grigson on charges of child abuse resulting in death.
Less than three hours later, the department said Wilson and Grigson had surrendered and were booked into the Western Regional Jail pending arraignment on Sunday.
The department provided no other information, including how Wilson and Grigson are connected with the child. A commenter on the department’s Facebook post, Brianna Meadows, indicated that Evander was her son, but she said in her comments that she did not know the details of what happened. She also did not say why the boy was with Wilson and Grigson.
