CrimeCon, in partnership with the Law&Crime Network, teamed up for the 3rd annual CLUE Awards to celebrate excellence in true crime content, on May 31 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville.
Renowned journalist Ashleigh Banfield, of “Banfield” on NewsNation and the upcoming podcast “Drop Dead Serious,” hosts the ceremony, while presenters include CSI creator Anthony Zuiker and Chris Hansen.
CLUE Awards 2024 esteemed recipient of the “Crimefighter of the Year” award was presented to John Walsh.
Walsh, known for his groundbreaking work on “America’s Most Wanted,” and as co-founder of The National Center for Missing& Exploited Children (NCMEC), was honored by last year’s recipients, The Gabby Petito Foundation.
CLUE’s finalists for the “America’s Greatest Detective” award, presented by Law&Crime, recognizing exceptional investigative work in law enforcement, include technology investigative specialists Sandy and Gene Ralston, US Marshals Services Liaison Laura Tierney, and Julia Oliveira, the first Missing or Murdered Indigenous Peoples Investigator with the Yurok Tribe.
