Monique Shihadeh wants her husband back who was shot, dead, during a robbery Thursday.
According to Fox 35 51-year-old Raied Shihadeh was the co-owner of the M&M Food Mart in Leesburg where on Thursday night an unknown man ran in and robbed and shot Raied.
The robbery resulted in approximately 40 to 100 dollars, plus a life being stolen.
His wife, Monique, said she called 911, while on Facetime with her husband at the time of the incident.
“All of a sudden, I saw panic on his face. I heard him scream, ‘No! ’I started immediately screaming.”
Adel Abdullah co-owns the store and said they had only been open for around nine months.
“I didn’t even want to open the store today. I wanted to stay home, but I’ll go crazy,” said Adel Abdullah. Now Abdullah has lost, “my best friend. More like a brother, really.”
Reaid’s wife wants him to be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father, and as someone who would have “given them whatever they wanted.”
“We want our family back. I want my husband back,” she said. “That can’t be given to me, but the biggest reward that could be given to me is catching the person that took him from us.”
Leesburg Police are asking anyone who was in the area shortly before or after 9:00 p.m. to contact them.
